Vosper MTB-77 in 1/35 Scale
This was my first model project since high school. I did an "out of the box" build of Italeri's kit. The kit is styrene plastic with a small fret of brass photo-etched parts. The owner is interested in World War II history.

USS Truxtun (CGN-35) in 1/350 scale
This model reflects Truxtun in her final, late 1980's configuration. The base kit is Iron Shipwright's resin kit which I modified with additional photo-etched brass, scratch built parts, 3D-printed parts, and a more detailed SH-2 Sea Sprite helicopter model. This model is owned by a retired US Navy Captain who was a Surface Warfare Officer and served onboard USS Truxtun.

USS Alaska (CB-1) in 1/350 scale
This model shows USS Alaska as she appeared at the end of World War II. The base kit is by Hobby Boss and I extensively upgraded it with brass and photo-etched add on kits, resin SC-1 Seahawk floatplanes, a wood deck veneer, and 3D-printed anti-aircraft guns. THIS MODEL IS FOR SALE. PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU ARE INTERESTED.

USS Alfred A. Cunningham (DD-752) in 1/350 scale
This project took an old Yankee Model Works destroyer mine layer resin kit and converted it to the Allen M. Sumner class destroyer USS Alfred A. Cunningham (DD752). I used scratch-built parts, upgraded brass photo-etched parts, and 3D-printed parts to complete the conversion. The owner's father was a member of the Cunningham's commissioning crew--a "Plank Owner"--in November 1944.

USS Texas (BB-35) in 1/350 scale
For this project, I built USS Texas as she appeared off Omaha Beach on D-Day, June 6, 1944. The base kit is by Trumpeter and I upgraded it with additional photo-etched brass, metal 14 and 5-inch gun barrels, resin Kingfisher float planes, and 3D-printed anti-aircraft guns. The model is owned by a former Naval Aviator who has a deep interest in naval history.

USS The Sullivans (DD-537) in 1/350 Scale
For this project, I built USS The Sullivans (DD-537) in her mid-World War II Configuration. The base kit was from Trumpeter, and required a lot of work to get it up to my standards. No photo-etched parts were provided with the kit. I modified it using 3rd party photo-etched brass parts, and a 3D-printed bridge house, smokestacks, weapons, and equipment. The Owner was a US Navy World War II veteran--RIP, Bob.

USS Bainbridge (CGN-25) in 1/350 Scale
For this project, I built the Bainbridge as she appeared in the late 1970's and early 1980's. The base kit is a resin model by Iron Shipwrights and was modified with scratch-built parts, custom 3D-printed parts, additional photo-etched brass, additional 3D-printed parts, and an SH-3 Sea King helicopter model. The owner is a retired US Navy Captain who was a Surface Warfare Officer and served on USS Bainbridge.

USS Iowa (BB-61) in 1/200 Scale
The project took two USS Missouri (BB-63) kits from Trumpeter in various states of completion and disarray and turned them into a completed USS Iowa model. The Iowa is depicted as Admiral Halsey's flagship at the Japanese surrender, September 2, 1945. The conversion included salvaging parts from the model in disarray, scratch building parts, adding 3rd party photo-etched brass, and 3D-printed parts. This model is on display at JD Hobbies in San Pedro, California.

USS Richmond K Turner (CG-20) in 1/350 Scale
This project modified Iron Shipwright's resin Leahy class cruiser model into the Richmond K Turner as she appeared circa 1974. Some parts were scratch built and other parts were 3D-printed. I also used additional photo-etched brass parts to complete the model. This model is owned by a US Navy veteran who served on USS Richmond K Turner.

HMS Daring (D32) in 1/350 Scale
This project built HMS Daring (D 32). Daring is a Royal Navy Type 45 Destroyer and is currently in service. The base kit is from Trumpeter and includes upgraded guns and additional photo-etch. THIS MODEL IS FOR SALE. CONTACT ME IF YOU ARE INTERESTED.

USS Fletcher (DD-992) in 1/350 scale
This project built USS Fletcher, a Spruance Class Destroyer. The base model is Shanghai Dragon's VLS version of a Spruance Class. This kit was designed in 1989 and version I'm using was released in 1997. I'm upgrading the kit with White Esign's photo-etched brass detail set, resin weapons, radars, electronic warfare systems, and third party Seahawk helicopters. The owner is a retired US Navy Surface Warfare Officer who was the Executive Officer of the Fletcher in the early 1990s.
